In 1985, Tim married his high school sweetheart Peggy and became part of the Kasik family. During this time, Peggy and Tim created their family of 5 and raised their three children Brandon, Nathan, and Bethany. Peggy became a second mom to the younger Johnsons boys and played an important part in their lives. Times got tough but Tim and Peggy found a way to stay connected until the children were older. Their love was strong but the stresses of life, work, and personal growth contributed to Tim and Peggy's divorce in 2011, they remained great friends and co-parents.

After spending years getting to know himself again, Tim met Sarah Stanton and eventually married. He was instantly accepted into Sarah's family, as Tim's irresistible charm and zest for life just naturally pulled people in. Sarah decided to give Tim one of her kidneys to extend his life; it was the most special gift anyone could have asked for. After a few years, Tim and Sarah agreed they were better as friends and decided to end their marriage. Sarah remained a constant in Tim's life, going to craft shows, antiquing, and just hanging out and talking about anything and everything.

Tim loved everyone in his family. He had many nieces and nephews which he consistently inquired about as he did not see them often. Tim was proud of their accomplishments and was excited to hear what was going on with his family members, he wished he could have been more involved, but his medical issues prevented him from doing so.

the horde family!

In 1981, Tim joined the JCC song-and-dance jazz show called The Starfleet Ambassadors. Here, Tim would meet Paul Tramp. When they started talking on the bus ride home after one of their shows, Tim and Paul found out they had many shared interests and became friends instantly. Their shared interest in D&D led them to form the group that would be known as The Horde.

The group included John Stutesman their dungeon master, John's brothers David Stutesman and Steve Stutesman, Jeff Toms, and Mark Shinske.

Through continued friendship additions, marriages, and eventual children, the Horde grew larger.Sadly death took one of Tim's closest friends, John Stutesman at a young age temporarily separating the Horde.

Once the horde spawn became old enough, they were introduced to the interests of their fathers, and the Horde reunited with renewed vigor and stronger friendships. Though the years have passed and the trials of life may have created some distance, the group still has many gatherings and holds each other in their hearts with love. Not only did they create a fun group of friends, but they also created a family.
